Three Strands Catering proudly serves San Diego County and nearby surrounding areas. Travel within the first 10 miles of our service base is included. Events located beyond that distance may be subject to a travel fee calculated per additional mile. Travel fees will be discussed during the booking process if applicable.
Client Responsibilities
Clients are responsible for confirming that the correct event date is selected during booking. Any changes or updates must be submitted before the final event confirmation. Once the final confirmation has been approved, Three Strands Catering is not responsible for errors related to the event date.
Clients must ensure that a safe, level, and accessible area is available for our catering setup. The setup location should provide enough space for equipment and staff to operate comfortably. Please notify us in advance if there are stairs, narrow pathways, debris, or other access limitations that could affect equipment delivery or setup.
If the service location requires elevator access, it is the client’s responsibility to confirm that our equipment can fit within the elevator space. Our team cannot carry or lift heavy equipment up stairways or steps.
If requested, we may arrange a site visit prior to the event to review the service area. A site visit fee may apply.
For events taking place in parks, beaches, or other public spaces, the client is responsible for obtaining any permits required by the venue or local authorities.
Clients must also inform us of any venue requirements such as insurance documentation, permits, or vendor paperwork at least two weeks prior to the event so our team has sufficient time to prepare.
Payment Policy
A 50% deposit is required to secure an event date. Once the deposit has been received and the booking confirmation has been issued, the event will be considered officially scheduled.
The remaining balance must be paid prior to the event date according to the payment terms outlined during booking.
We accept major payment methods including credit cards, debit cards, and electronic transfers. Certain payment methods may include processing fees depending on the platform used.
Booking Requests
Submitting a quote request, email inquiry, or website form does not guarantee a reservation. Events are only confirmed once a deposit has been received and a confirmation has been issued by our team.
Cancellations and Rescheduling
Deposits are non-refundable after booking. However, events may be rescheduled depending on availability if sufficient notice is provided.
Weather conditions generally do not cancel service. Our team is prepared to operate in most weather conditions; however, clients must ensure that a suitable covered or protected space is available if necessary.
If an event is cancelled within a short period before the event date, previously submitted payments may not be refundable.
Event Changes
Final event details are confirmed approximately 1-2 weeks before the event date. After this confirmation has been completed, changes to the event may no longer be possible.
Guest counts may increase if needed.
Allergy Disclaimer
While we take precautions in preparing our food, items may be prepared in environments where allergens are present. We cannot guarantee that any item is completely allergen-free.
Service Fees, Gratuity & Tax
Applicable sales tax will also be applied as required by California law. We do not charge a service fee or gratuity fee.
Service Time
Our catering services include setup time followed by a designated serving period, depending on the service package selected and the size of the event.
Typical service includes:
Setup and preparation before serving
Active food service during the event
If food is fully served before the scheduled service time ends, service may conclude at that time.
Additional service hours may be available upon request and may include an additional fee.
Guests may take leftover food home if suitable containers are provided.
Large Events
For events with larger guest counts, additional equipment or service stations may be recommended to ensure efficient service.
Disputes or Service Concerns
If there are any concerns regarding service, clients must notify Three Strands Catering within seven (7) days of the event date so that we can review and address the matter.
Additional Information
Depending on the menu and cooking method, there may be smoke or grill aromas associated with the cooking process.
We take care to maintain a clean and organized setup area. Protective mats may be used, but clients may provide additional protection if desired. While every precaution is taken, cooking equipment may occasionally produce grease or smoke during normal operation.
Three Strands Catering operates as a licensed and insured catering company, and our staff follows proper food safety practices in accordance with local health regulations.
